My GrandMother is no longer with us. She went home in 1997. She gave
us a great legacy of love and devotion to her God and her family.
She is sorely missed.
Each generation is built on the last. Mother, in her turn has
carried on the lessons of loving devotion to her God and family.
Although we don't get to see her often, her visits are looked
forward to with great anticipation. I, in my turn, have tried to
keep alive those precepts I was taught as a child and accepted as a
part of myself when old enough to understand. It is heartening to
see Wendy in her new role of motherhood continuing the legacy.
Our Family
Pigs with Panache is a joint venture with Wendy and her family. At
the moment, Wendy has two small boys, Jordan and Jesse. Things will
change soon as her third baby is due the end of November - early
December.
My son, Erick, is a sophmore in high school. He loves cars,
electronics, dreamcast, and computers. He also enjoys remote control
cars and most anything "hands on".
I enjoy drawing on the computer, talking with friends, my
children and gradchildren, and all of our mini zoo.
In 1982 we began showing and raising Netherland Dwarf Rabbits. At
the same time, we were raising and showing Collies and Pommerians on
a very limited scale.
We began showing and rasing cavies in 1985 with a beautiful
broken cream Peruvian boar and a young silver agouti Teddy boar.
When they both won their jr. classes and the Teddy went on to be
BOSV, we were well and truly hooked on showing cavies. Our Dwarfs
were also doing very well on the table.
In 1993, after a major thieft of over 90% of our rabbitry, we
dispersed both caviary and rabbitry and moved across the state. We
have move to yet another state and now are ready to start again. We
have really missed going to the shows!
The Next Generation
Jordan will be three in December and Jesse will be two in November.
Our future "cavy handlers" enjoy all their pets but
especially Zoye, a broken Choco/Cream/White American sow. Zoye is a
very sweet pig and loves all the attention (especially when
accompanied by a fresh treat!
Changes
Our lives are always static. They never stay the same. That is the
best way to grow and learn.
